Lame: Jutawan MLM doesn't know how to pronounce TLD

I found this link about one so called "Jutawan MLM" from BicaraJutawan Forum.

Apparently he thinks that he's so smart ass about the way people pronounce the Internet TLD. Look carefully at what he wrote :

Saya pernah menghantar e-mel kepada TV3 lima tahun lepas. Sebelum ini pengacara TV3 suka sebut .my sebagai .mai -- sedangkan ia tak boleh disebut begitu. Ia mesti kekal disebut .my (dot emwai) kerana ia sambungan untuk negara. Kalau Malaysia boleh sebut dot mai, bagaimana pula dengan Singapura yang diletakkan sebagai .sg? Takkan nak sebut "dot seg"? Nampaknya sekarang sudah tak ada pengacara TV3 yang menyebut sebagai "dot mai" lagi. Hanya penulis skrip bahlul atau memang tak tahu apa benda dan fungsinya akan main-main dengannya -- misalnya menjadi tajuk drama biul mereka.

Following his 'pronunciation' scheme we have to pronounce :
usm.my - you-es-em dot emwai
utm.my - you-tee-em dot emwai

Nice isn't it? ok let's go forward
ping.sg - ping dot es-gee
prabu.us - prabu dot you-es

so far so good, but wonder how does he pronounce :
yahoo.com - yahoo dot see-ooh-em ?
google.com - google dot see-ooh-em ?
ukhwah.com - ukhwah dot see-ooh-em ?

I'm sure he sounds silly pronouncing those domain that way, but what can stop me from making himself sounds like an idiot?

Is he for real? Does he really pronounce ukhwah.com as Ukhwah dot c-o-m instead of dot kom ?

Get your facts right, lest you'll be the laughing stock of the internet itself :p

Nadiah Amirah dari 19A1 ke 14A1, 4A2 dan 1 B3 (keputusan SPM)

Nadiah Amirah : Calon SPM 2006 dan penulis buku, menjadi popular selepas dilaporkan mendapat 19A1, kisah kejayaan beliau telah menghiasi ruang sebuah akhbar selama 3 hari, kain rentang yang tertulis 19A1 turut menghiasi jalan di pekan Rengit.

Malangnya lain pula telah terjadi apabila keputusan SPM Rasmi diumumkan, beliau hanya memperoleh 14A1, 4 A2, dan 1 B3. Keputusan SPM ini adalah membanggakan sekiranya kisah beliau mendapat 19A1 tidak disiarkan di akhbar tersebut. Kini kain rentang sudah dipamerkan, cerita di akhbar sudah diwar-warkan, orang kampung dah tau, malah satu Malaya dah kecoh!!

Apa sudah terjadi? Siapa yang patut dipersalahkan? Kenapa suratkabar menyiarkan kisah Nadiah sahaja? kan ada ramai lagi yang dapat keputusan lebih baik dari pelajar ini?

Adakah akhbar tersebut patut disalahkan kerana menulis berita yang terlalu sensasi? Adakah salah pelajar pintar ini kerana dia tidak menunggu keputusan rasmi? Ataupun Kementerian Pelajaran kerana berdiam diri?

Yang pasti satu pengajaran boleh diambil dari kisah Nadiah Amirah ini, iaitu jangan bertindak terburu-buru sebelum mendapat kepastian hitam putih, kerana kelak akan menyesal dipenghujung hari.

Kita menimba ilmu dengan ikhlas, bukan hendak mencari glamor. Glamor sebenarnya tak kemana....

Update: Kementerian Pelajaran mengeluarkan senarai 105 pelajar cemerlang SPM 2006, tetapi nama Nadiah Amirah tidak termasuk dalam senarai tersebut. Segala soalan dan kemusykilan boleh diajukan kepada kementerian terbabit.

Adnan: Bloggers Are Liar

Sejak kebelakangan ini menteri-menteri di malaysia semakin bertambah fakap. Harap-harap saya tak kena ISA sebab post benda ni!.

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Mac (Hrkh) - Menteri Pelancongan, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor Khamis lalu (8 Mac) menyifatkan kesemua pengendali blog (bloggers) di dalam Internet sebagai pembohong dan 80 peratus dari mereka ialah wanita-wanita yang tidak mempunyai pekerjaan.
"Kesemua bloggers adalah pembohong, mereka menipu orang ramai dengan menggunakan pelbagai helah. Berdasarkan apa yang saya difahamkan, dari 10,000 bloggers yang menganggur, 8,000 adalah wanita".
Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang media Jualan Murah GP Malaysia apabila ditanya mengenai tuduhan di dalam blog seorang penyampai TV. Mereka yang hadir pada mulanya terperanjat tetapi kemudiannya tertawa.
Beliau berkata, beliau mungkin akan kehilangan sebahagian pengundi wanita tetapi beliau tidak menarik balik kenyataannya atau membayangkan beliau hanya bergurau.
Beliau berkata, bloggers menyebarkan khabar angin, menganggu keharmonian sosial dan kebanyakan bloggers suka memfitnah dan menipu orang ramai melalui blog mereka.
"Kesemua bloggers tidak mahukan perpaduan nasional. Negara kita berjaya kerana kita bertolak ansur antara satu sama lain, jika tidak, akan berlaku perang saudara, Melayu membunuh Cina, Cina membalas dendan dan membunuh Melayu, orang-orang India pula akan membunuh setiap orang".
Beliau menggesa rakyat Malaysia supaya jangan mudah mempercayai bloggers dan memperjudikan masa hadapan kita kerana pencapaian kita setelah 50 tahun merdeka bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah.
"Kita mesti menunjukkan sikap yang positif, jika dunia belajar bersikap tolak ansur seperti kita, dunia akan aman, tanpa perang atau perang saudara".

Tengku Adnan: Bloggers are Liars
80% are Unemployed Women

(Kuala Lumpur) The Tourism Minsiter Tunku Adnan lashed out today (Mar 8, 2007) that all bloggers on the Internet are liars, out of which 80% are unemployed women.

“All bloggers are liars, they cheat people using all kinds of methods. From my understanding, out of 10,000 unemployed bloggers, 8,000 are women.”

Tengku was addressing the media at the 2007 Malaysia GP Sales when he was asked about allegations made on a blog by a female TV presenter. The guests present were shocked at first, but burst into laughter.

He said he may lose some female voters but did not retract his statement or indicate that he was just joking.

He said that bloggers spread rumours, disrupt social harmony and many bloggers are slanderous and are cheating people with their blogs.

“All bloggers are not in favour of national unity. Our country has been successful because we are very tolerant with each other, if not, there will be civil war, the Malays will kill the Chinese, the Chinese will take revenge and kill the Malays, and the Indian will kill everyone.”

He urged the rakyat not to simply trust bloggers, and gamble our future away because the achievement we gain in the 50 years of independence is not an easy task.

“We have to show the world our positive attitude, if the world learn to be as tolerant as us, the world will be peaceful, without war or civil war.”

He said that the tourism ministry has been promoting the country for the rakyat’s benefit, not just to benefit his own ministry.

He stressed that the Malaysian tourism industry is now in a critical moment as the competition from the neighbouring countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines will be stiffer and Malaysia must respond proactively.

Somebody uses #fakap community blog name

OK this is a short post, lately we have been receiving not so pleasant feedbacks from some angry bloggers. Turn out to be that there is an individual trolling around the internet by using the #fakap community blog url and pissing people off.

We apologize for the inconveniences and the unrest caused by the individual, we can assure you that nobody in #fakap community uses the nickname except in our portal where the head admin's nick is 'fakap'.

By the way, we appreciate our readers comments, and will reply to each and every question posed to us.

Streamyx Service Interruption Expected Due to Maintenance Exercise

It seems that the TM decided to perform maintenance 'exercise' on the real Streamyx service line across Malaysia. As a result, service interruptions is expected from 5th March to 16 March 2007 in areas stated below.
